Psyllium Husk 
Psyllium husk is a natural fiber, very healthy, and it
even lowers cholesterol! The best part is that it
swells when it comes in contact with water. This
property can be taken advantage of for diet control
purposed by making one feel full.

Lengthy
fasting
can be dangerous due to the risk of
malnutrition. During fasting,
low-carbohydrate or
very low calorie
diets a
lack of blood glucose, the preferred
energy source of the
brain,
causes the body to metabolize sugars
from protein, which can lead to muscle
wasting.
Do not stay on this diet for
more than one week at a time!
The following is adapted from the colon cleanse
program offered by Blessed Herbs.
Take one tablespoon of psyllium husk (can be
purchased from GNC as Colon Pure) and combine
with 8 oz. apple juice in a 16 oz. jar, shake well and
drink; repeat every three hours. If you let it stand for a
few minutes it will become identical to apple sauce and
you can eat it with a spoon. You might even want
to add a little cinnamon to give the finishing touch!
Take five servings per day. 8 oz. of apple juice
is only about 150 calories, so for the entire day only
about 750 calories are consumed. This will not
only make you feel full causing you not to want to eat
anything else, but it will activate the bowels causing
several bowel movements per day, which is conducive to
rapid weight loss. It is very easy to lose 10
pounds a week using this method. It would be
unwise to go beyond one week at a time with this diet.

It's important that you go to the bathroom several
times a day for maximum weight loss.
Studies have shown that soaking in
a hot tub for 30 minutes a day can cause a weight
reduction of about one and a half pounds a week.
Soaking simulates exercise by increasing the heart rate,
while at the same time lowering blood pressure by
dilating the blood vessels. After each soak weight
will decrease dramatically, but that is mostly just
fluid loss, not fat loss, and you should expect most to
soon return. It is recommended that you drink
water before soaking, so you won't dehydrate yourself.
Naturally exercise can be
implemented too. However, it much easer to lose
weight by simply not eating excess calories in the first
place, than it is to exercise the calories off
afterwards (see below). One pound of body fat is usually given
as 3,500 Kcal. Wow! a full hour of running can
only burn off 1000 Kcal, and jogging only about 600.
An average workout at the gym, though very healthy, will
probably burn off no more than 300 to 500 Kcals.
However, your body will naturally burn off 2,000 to
2,500 KCals a day with no particular additional
exercise. We lose most of our weight just by
simply living and breathing 24 hours a day. The lesson to
be learned here is
DON'T OVER EAT!
Exercise has its limitations:
"The
ability of a few hours a week of
exercise to contribute to weight loss
can be somewhat overestimated. To
illustrate, consider a 100-kilogram (220
lb) man who wants to lose 10 kilograms
(22 lb) and assume that he eats just
enough to maintain his weight (at rest),
so that weight loss can only come from
exercise. Those 10 kilograms (22 lb)
converted to work are equivalent to
about 350 megajoules (84,000 calories).
(We use an approximation of the standard
37 kilojoules or 9 calories per gram of
fat.) Now assume that his chosen
exercise is stairclimbing and that he is
20 percent efficient at converting
chemical energy into mechanical work
(this is within measured ranges). To
lose the weight, he must ascend 70
kilometers. A man of normal fitness
(like him) will be tired after 500
meters of climbing (about 150 flights of
stairs), so he needs to exercise every
day for 140 days (to reach his target).
However, exercise (both aerobic and
anaerobic) would increase the Basal
Metabolic Rate (BMR) for some time after
the workout. This ensures more calorific

Modification: Nutritious low cal diet for
reasonable weight loss
If you are not willing to be go on the super crash
diet described above, or have been on it for a week,
then much weight can be lost with this
simple modified version given below which is far more
nutritious:
Breakfast:
One scoop of chocolate flavored whey power (a milk
derivative) in 8 oz skim milk, add two raw eggs for
added nutrition and protein. You may also want to
add the contents of one or two wheat germ oil capsules,
Omega-3 oil, and possibly even the contents of one or
two Conjugated Linoleic Acid capsules (supposedly good
for reducing belly fat). It's easiest to use a
blender, but some sources say egg protein can be damaged
by blending. So, it's up to you if you want to
blend or just stir. After blending you'll get
about 16 ozs. of delicious chocolate whey milk shake,
and it's only about 300 calories.
Snacks and Lunch:
Continue with the psyllium husk and apple drink
shakes as described above every three hours.
Dinner:
Eat a simple tossed green (mostly lettuce) salad with
low cal salad dressing, 100 grams salad total.
Finish with a singe piece of Hershey's All Natural
Extra Dark chocolate (50 calories).
Late night snack:
Put some raw spinach leaves, a few crushed raw garlic
cloves in a pan and sauté for a couple of minutes in a
couple tablespoons full of extra virgin olive oil.
This is "super food" and will make you sleep and dream
like a baby.
